cycloids?

This is music I've created electronically from rendered or expropriated samples- often using techniques to degrade the final musical product, creating the feeling of unearthing an obscure artifact, damaged and weathered. The drones are usually musically mundane ingredients transformed beyond recognition. The titles are either arbitrary or unimportant.

I'm inspired by noise phenomena and pareidolia, the no-man's-land between AM stations, the unexpected glitches of a skipping CD; in the same way that our mind sees faces in clouds and trees because faces are so deeply significant to us, we also will pull music- something we understand- from static and noise. Perhaps these works could be imagined as the tessellated, emergent interference patterns of AM noise superimposition, the chromatic fragments of long dead radio-broadcasts, drifting into deep space, perpetually resurrecting.
